Auction Time: Tack - 10:00 Horses - 12:00
On sale days, all sales must go through the auction ring.
No private sales are allowed on our grounds.

To sell a registered horse at the auction, you need to bring the registration papers and a signed transfer.
Every Fifth Saturday Sale is a Catalog Sale.
Deadline for inclusion in the Catalog is 7 days before the sale.
On Catalog Sale days, uncataloged horses will be sold, but only after those listed in the catalog.
Most of the horses listed in the Catalog are registered, but other horses may be listed also.
Catalogs will be posted on the web site as soon as possible before a Catalog Sale.
As horses come in, the online version of the catalog will be updated.
To see an online catalog, go to http://www.larrymeadows.com and click on the link that says Online Catalog. It should load the catalog in Adobe Acrobat format into your browser. Most browsers have an Acrobat PDF viewer built in. If yours doesn't, you can download a free viewer from Adobe.com.
If you would like us to advertise your horses on the web site or in the newsletter before a sale, please call us well in advance of the sale. We can post photos of your horses also.
If you want to send us pictures of horses to include in future sales announcements, please limit the file size to 100 kb. Also, please include a full description of the horses and let us know which sale or catalog you wish your horse to be included in, plus full pedigrees if available.
Sales are held indoors in our air-conditioned arena.
The arena is accessible by wheelchair.
Sales are never canceled on account of weather.
Loading and unloading horses is done under a covered breezeway.
Horse stalls are covered.
We begin accepting horses on Friday at noon before a Saturday Sale.
Someone will be at the sale barn all night until the sale begins on Saturday.
At present there is no email list for news about sales.
There is a monthly newsletter / postcard we can mail you if you send us your postal address.
Every year we update our mailing list and remove names and addresses of people who haven't attended a recent sale. If you wish to remain on the mailing list, please continue to attend the sales.

In August we have our Annual Production Sale where we sell the foals we raise.
These foals are eligible to participate in the LM Futurity, held in November.
Futurity purse is approximately $10,000.
Purse will be split among the top 5 horses in stallion and filly categories.
After the Futurity, winners have first opportunity for sale at auction.

Terms and Conditions

1. The horses are offered for sale according to the laws of the State of Mississippi.

2. Meadows Livestock Sales, LLC acts as commission agent only. All responsibility and guarantee lies between the buyer and seller.

3. The highest bidder will be the buyer, and if dispute arises between two or more bidders, the horse in dispute shall immediately be put up again for advance bids. If there be no advance bid the horse shall go to the person from whom the auctioneer recognized the last bid. The auctioneer will decline any bid made by parties who have defaulted in former purchases or by persons who, in his judgement, are not re-sponsible bidders.

4. Terms of sale are cash and payment must be made to the cashier immediately after the sale.

5. Upon receiving payment for a horse, the cashier will issue an order to obtain delivery. Buyers are cautioned not to lose these orders. Buyers assume all expenses and risks on horse after they have left the auction ring. Buyers must make arrangements with sale company for care of stock until it can be removed.

6. Upon failure of compliance with any of the above conditions, the lot shall be resold by public or private sale, and the deficiency (if any) remaining after such resale shall be made good by the defaulter immediately.

7. If any person shall purchase a lot and not pay for it as described above, nothing shall prevent the auctioneer or the owner from compelling the purchaser to pay for it if the auctioneer or seller shall so deem fit.

8. Sale management and auctioneers are not responsible for errors or omissions, and assume no liability on its part or on the part of the seller as to any condition, either verbal or written regarding horses sold.

9. Any known defects will be announced before each horse is started. Every horse will be sold under this rule. Therefore no horse can be rejected by the buyer when struck off by the auctioneer. The seller guarantees all mares are bred in foal, but selling then as they are and without return privileges. Unless otherwise specified.

10. Immediately after the horse is sold, it will be the sole risk and responsibility of the buyer thereof, but possession of the horse can not be obtained by him until payment has been made.
